When are sessions held?

Education activities are commonly held on Sundays. Exact schedules appear in each activity's official announcement.

People willing to learn, attend orientation, and follow safeguarding and community-respect requirements are welcome.

What should I bring?

Confirmed volunteers receive the itinerary, transport information, and activity checklist.

Detailed answers before you travel.

Open each question to learn who can join, how transport works, what volunteers do, and which contributions may be requested.

01I'm a student—can I join? What about senior citizens, first-time volunteers, families, and solo joiners?

Yes. Anyone with a willing heart who is prepared to follow orientation, safeguarding, and community guidelines is welcome. Solo joiners often build meaningful friendships with the community and other volunteers. Families and senior citizens may also participate when the chosen activity and journey suit their needs; contact the organizers first about accessibility and supervision requirements.

02Where is the meeting place, and how do I get to the sitio?

Confirmed volunteers travel together. The meeting point, time, vehicle arrangements, and full itinerary are supplied for each specific activity after registration and confirmation. Details change according to where the group is coming from, road conditions, and the community's security needs.

03I have my own transportation—can I bring it?

Yes, when it is included in the activity's approved transport plan. Coordinators will set a safe meeting point so private vehicles can join the convoy. Parts of the route may be rough, muddy, or difficult to pass, so volunteers should disclose the vehicle type and passenger count in advance.

04When is the schedule, and what might my tasks be?

Weekly learning sessions are commonly held on Sundays, but the official date and time appear in each activity announcement. Tasks may include storytelling, activities with children, consent-based house-to-house data gathering, and helping learners with reading and writing. Assignments are made after orientation according to current needs and each volunteer's abilities.

05Is a fee or contribution required?

The organization commonly prepares a simple lunch. A clearly disclosed transport contribution may be requested because Liwanag at Dunong does not own a vehicle; the exact amount and payment arrangement should appear in the official activity confirmation. Volunteers with financial concerns may speak with the coordinator—prepared and responsible participation matters most.
